  1. Paperless meeting (the meeting where digital data are fully utilized by using PS without the papers of documentation)
    Mr. Kitagawa on behalf of secretary office made an explanation about the procedure of running the paperless meeting. All attendants agreed to that the paperless meeting would be implemented on the trial basis from next meeting.
  2. Selection of newspapersf Articles
    The articles of Japanese newspapers were selected as their briefs appearing in the English version of the JARI homepage.
  3. Railway projects abroad
    Mr. Arai made comments that , taking into consideration the fact that the Japanese domestic demand in a future prospect is rather weak, the most of Japanese railway supply industries have come to have much more interest in the projects showing up in the global market and this situation could allow the international companies to have chances to expand the business with supplying their products to Japanese manufactures involving in the projects to be executed abroad, because the international companies attended here have surely much experience to supply their products in the global market as a total organization to integrate the plants and offices scattered over the world. So, the international companies should take advantage of this situation to expand their business in Japan. After discussing based on the comments, it was concluded for the members to exchange each other the information in action about the progresses of the projects Japanese manufactures involved in, and, in addition, to promote to exchange information about the success cases to do business in Japan.
  4. Present status of railway projects and economy in Russia
    Brief explanation on the above subject, referring to the papers delivered at the seminar, presented by Land facility and transport Ministry, was given by the secretary office.
  5. Next meeting
    Next meeting is to be held at meeting room of JARI office on August20 2009.
